Baby Buds are on the Road!

The baby buds quilt I was telling you about is just about finished. I am trimming up a few threads and packing it up for the Road to California Quilter's Conference in Ontario, CA next week. This event is an annual treat for me. Everything about it is lovely! The venue, the people and, of course, the weather! I will be updating while I am there. If you happen to be there, by all means drop by and say hello. We are in booth 913/915.

On the move!

I finally figured out how to edit links to other blogs today! My friend Glenna of Hollyhock Quilts has moved so here is the address to her new place. I do hope I got this right!

The aforementioned baby quilt is at the quilter's today! This is one of the leftover blocks on a piece of paper with no stitching! Can't believe I would even show this to you...must be desperate for a picture!

Tweeking Tradition

I like to cut out a new quilt on New Year's Day and that has been my habit for about 20 years. It always fills me with hope and excites me! This year was no exception. I wanted to use our new Doll Babies fabric which arrived the week of Christmas.

I tweeked the tradition by using a pattern that I didn't design. Instead, I used the cutest pattern from Dana Brooks of Lazy Daisy Cottage called Baby Buds. We will kit the quilt for our visit to Road to California which is coming up this month! I'll keep you posted on my progress.

Happy New Year to each and every one of you. I simply can't wait to see what will happen this year!
